Gamers capture more information faster for visual decision-making
I wonder if people are more likely to become gamers if they are naturally adroit at memory and cognition (thus predisposing gamers to being better at deciphering visual information), or if it’s actually the training from playing games that creates this skill. Surely, gaming refines it in either case.
I was always pretty quick and observant, even as a child. And I was born way back in the day, when Atari was still a thing.
